The Florida LGBTQ+ Caucus congratulates the newly elected leadership of the Florida Democratic Party’s Hispanic Caucus.
“We’re delighted that the Hispanic Caucus has new, activist leadership, and look forward to working with new President Mario DeCunto and First Vice President Macarena Iglesias, as well as their full team,” said Caucus President Kristen Browde. President DeCunto was elected on the first ballot with 76% of the vote, and First VP Iglesias received 100% of the vote, remarkable unity for a caucus that works to bring together diverse groups with heritage stemming from many countries.
LGBTQ+ Caucus Vice President Luis Salazar is also a member of the Hispanic Caucus and took part in the Hispanic Caucus election process, as did several other members of the LGBTQ+ Caucus.
